We are now seeking two full-time Administration Assistants to join our team. These roles have been established to offer support for our Operations team.

Position 1:

Administration Support - WHS & HR

Responsible for carrying out all administrative support tasks with a focus on ensuring safety legislative compliance at the Highbury site as directed by the QHSE Manager and adhoc administrative support as directed by the HR Manager.

Position 2:

Administration Support - Maintenance & Logistics

Responsible for carrying out all administrative support tasks with a focus on logistics administration for incoming & finished product and raising work orders for the maintenance team in MEX.

Both of these positions will be required to work collaboratively to carry out the general administrative requirements at the site.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • General office administration including managing office supplies
  • Welcome & Safety Induction of visitors, contractors and new staff
  • Raise and print purchase and work orders
  • Assisting production scheduler with logistics support for finished containerised goods
  • Assisting purchasing with incoming product and management of stock
  • Weighbridge operations assistance 
  • Process supplier invoices
  • HR administration
  • Assist with maintenance of procedures & SOP's
  • Maintain WHS registers
  • Maintain operation staff competency training records and licences
  • Ensure adequate PPE supplies
  • Other adhoc administrative tasks as required

As the new Operations Manager, you will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, Lean Manufacturing expertise and possess a proven track record in operational efficiency. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Lead day-to-day manufacturing and maintenance operations, ensuring efficiency, quality and safety 
  • Oversee production schedules, staffing and resource allocations to meet sales targets and customer demand 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives 
  • Work closely with senior management to implement strategic projects and facility upgrades 
  • Monitor production targets, inventory and performance metrics 
  • Provide strong leadership to the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement 
  • Represent the company and its values with customers, vendors and stakeholders 
  • Conduct daily pre-starts and toolbox meetings 
  • Develop and implement effective planning systems to streamline operations and enhance productivity 
  • Cooperate with Human Resources Manager to build a skilled and motivated workforce aligned with organisational goals 
  • Manage competency training records 
  • Ensure compliance with Johnsons Work Health & Safety Policies, Procedures and Standards 

Skills & Experience 

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities 
  • Experience in manufacturing or production management

Responsibilities: 

  • Operate front-end loaders to transport, load, and unload stock feed and other materials 
  • Assist in the movement and storage of products within the site to ensure efficient processing during the busy harvest season 
  • Perform daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance on loader equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety 
  • Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain a smooth workflow 
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental protocols, ensuring a safe workplace for yourself and your colleagues 
  • Assist with general site duties as needed to support the overall production process 

Skills & Experience: 

  • Proven experience operating front-end loaders, particularly in an agricultural or production setting 
  • A valid loader license or relevant ticket is essential 
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures and the ability to follow safety protocols 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet the physical demands of the role

About the Role:

We are now on the search for a self-motivated, highly driven and enthusiastic individual to join our JNF Team in a full-time capacity for a six-month contract with the view to extend to permanent, ongoing role as a Sales Representative for Victoria and Tasmania. In this position, your responsibilities will be to:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships through in-person visits, calls and presentations with existing and prospective stockists, trainers, breeders, and equestrian communities
  • Identify new business opportunities and grow sales within your territory.
  • Educate clients on the benefits of JNF products and provide tailored nutritional advice for their horses
  • Provide reports on store visits, sales figures, and competitor analysis
  • Create and execute innovative sales and marketing initiatives
  • Forge partnerships with sponsored riders, equine influencers and industry professionals to enhance brand visibility

Reporting to operations management, you will ensure that production at our Highbury plant is not interrupted due to unscheduled machinery downtime. In this hands-on leadership role, you will be responsible for the maintenance of plant equipment and facilities, troubleshooting production equipment, planning and implementing upgrades and modifications as required, conducting routine inspections, performing preventative maintenance and addressing equipment failures to ensure our equipment performs at optimal safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have fitter and hydraulic experience with strong problem-solving and leadership skills and a commitment to high-quality work and team success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the maintenance team and minimise downtime
  • Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules and ensure data accuracy
  • Oversee and coordinate maintenance activities, including toolbox/pre-start meetings
  • Plan and implement upgrades and modifications to equipment
  • Conduct routine inspections, address equipment failures and maintain safety and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular stock takes and maintain spare parts register
  • Drive the Maintenance Programme / Schedule, including reporting and diagnostics
  • Manage call-outs to minimise costs and participate in breakdown resolution
  • Maintain plant, equipment, tools and workshop housekeeping
  • Ensure maintenance personnel are trained and competent for their roles
  • Promote a safety-first culture and adhere to all WHS policies and procedures

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to mentor, motivate and lead a team
  • Trade qualification in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical (or equivalent)
  • Strong problem-solving and coordination skills
  • Experience with maintenance systems such as MEX (or similar)
  • Fitter and hydraulic experience
  • Able to use initiative with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage budgets
