Job Overview:   We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our dynamic team in Dooen, Victoria.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and installation of mechanical equipment within our feed production facility.  This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and reliability of our production processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, implementing timely and effective repairs
3. Collaborate with the production team to minimize downtime and improve overall equipment reliability
4. Install, assemble and test new machinery and equipment as needed
5. Work closely with other maintenance professionals to coordinate repairs and upgrades
6. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment condition and repairs performed
7. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the workplace

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in an industrial setting, preferably within the manufacturing or food production industry
2. Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or a related field
3. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial machinery
4. Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals
5. Proficient in using hand and power tools
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
7. Willingness to work flexible hours
