We are now seeking a dedicated Maintenance Fitter with a focus on ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production machinery at our Kapunda site. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Fitter will play a pivotal role in maintaining our equipment to the highest standards, minimising downtime, and contributing to our production success.
This position requires a proactive individual with strong mechanical skills and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on production machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues to minimise downtime
- Carry out preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability
- Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve maintenance needs
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
Qualifications & Experience:
- Some industrial experience as a Maintenance Fitter or similar role
- Manufacturing experience preferred, particularly within an FMCG company
- Forklift and/or Knuckle Boom licence will be looked upon favourably
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications are a plus
