Drought Pellets
Johnson’s Drought Pellets are a roughage-based pellet that can be used to support your sheep and cattle through times of severe feed shortage.
A balanced complete feed, processed with:
Barley, wheat, legumes, soyabean meal, almond hulls, oatmeal, legume hay and straw, cereal hay and straw, molasses, vegetable oil
Strict quality control standards ensure that all Oaten Hay is ARGT Free and tested for nitrates. In addition, our facilities operate X-Ray facilities or decontamination units to remove contaminants ensuring a safe feed for our customers.

At Johnson’s, we take feed consistency seriously.
- Every ration is tested using NIR (Near Infrared) technology.
- Samples are tested every hour during production.
This ensures consistent levels of energy, protein, and fibre in every batch; giving customers confidence in every feed we produce.
Delivery to your animal
Directions For Use
- Gradually introduce the pellets over a 7-10 day period, preferably with hay or straw available to stock.
- Once accustomed to feed hay/straw can be removed and pellets fed ad-libitum.
- Consumption will vary with liveweight of animal and the availability of any other feed.
- Typical feeding rates are between 1.5% to 2.5% mature liveweight.
- Ensure clean fresh water is always available.
Storage
Store in a dry, cool place that is free from pests and vermin.
Best used within 6 months of the date of manufacture.
