Oaten Hay

For performance horses and dairy cows Oaten hay is grown in South Australia and Victoria. Hay is cut at the "late flower to early milk stage" or just as the grain is about to form in the crop.

Premium Oaten hay is generally light green and soft in texture, sweet taste and highly palatable. Premium Oaten hay has low potassium levels (1.4%) and is sold throughout Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Korea, Taiwan and Bahrain for high porformance dairy cows, race horses and endurance horses.

Oaten hay for dairy cows has no weather damage, mould or rust. Strict standards ensure it contains a minimum of 95% oats, nil detection of ARGT and a nitrate reading of less than 500ppm.
